About

My Favorite Trees is a podcast all about how certain tree species have played significant roles in human societies around the world. Each episode will cover a different type of tree or theme and discuss how our cultural history overlaps with natural history.

My name is Thomas Spadea and over the years working as a botanist, forester, and park ranger, I’ve learned many stories about the trees that make up our forests. I’d like to share those stories with you.

If you’d like to support the show, consider also visiting my Patreon at patreon.com/MyFavoriteTrees. Subscribing at the Seedling level gets you early access to new episodes as well as production updates, while the main Treehugger tier will also unlock access to full, unedited interviews, shoutouts, stretch goal content, and my bonus video series: Tree Walks with Thomas. Regardless of how much you pledge, 1/5th of all earnings will go to a sustainable non-profit that is chosen quarterly by Patrons.
